  1. Question - Can Passenger details be changed in a train booking ? Answer - Please note that once a train ticket is booked, its details cannot be modified. However, in the event of any issues, you do have the option to either cancel the ticket or consider rebooking it, though please note that rebooking is subject to seat availability and additional charges due to dynamic ticket pricing

 

  1. Question - I want to change my seat? Answer - Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. You can specify your berth preference during booking, but please note that the allocation of berths is entirely up to IRCTC and depends on availability. If you want to change your seat or berth, you might be able to do so by contacting the train TTE or asking fellow passengers for help. Once the booking is confirmed, ixigo can't assist with changing the berth type.

 

  1. Question - I want to Change Journey Date of my train booking? Answer - I understand that plans can change however as per IRCTC rules the rescheduling of booking is not allowed. 

 

Question - Can I change my name/age/sex on the booked ticket? Answer - We understand that sometimes mistakes can happen when booking train tickets.? Unfortunately, as per Indian Railway rules, details like name, age, and sex cannot be changed after booking. We appreciate your understanding and are here to assist you to the best of our abilities. If you have any concerns, please feel free to reach out to us.? However, if you have opted for Assured Flex, following the below steps, changes can be made:  1. Open the ixigo app and go to 'My Trips' . 2. Click on 'Modify Trip'. 3. Choose the new date, class, train, station, quota or traveller name 4. Select from the available trains 5. Update the passenger information, if required. 6. Then, proceed to payment, if applicable. 7. Finally, enter your IRCTC password, and you are done!

 

  1. Question - If I change my boarding station, can I still board the train from the original boarding station? Answer - No, if you change your boarding station, you cannot board the train from the original station.

 

  1. Question - Can I opt for a previous station as my boarding station? Answer - No, Boarding stations can be selected from upcoming stations only from the existing boarding station.

 

  1. Question - Can I board the train from a station other than my designated boarding station? Answer - No, it is not recommended to board the train from a station other than your designated boarding station. If you choose to do so, it will be at your own risk.

 

  1. Question - How do I board a train with pets? Answer - Yes, pets can be carried in trains with a nominal charge and observing certain restrictions. One can either carry the pets in a train’s break-van or in First-class passenger compartments. Either way you will need to contact the station master at the boarding station as the process is completely offline.

 

  1. Question : How to validate if the customer has changed the boarding station post at the time of booking or post booking? Answer - If the existing boarding station is different from the one mentioned in the ticket copy that means the customer has changed the boarding station post booking.

 

  1. Question - Customer is saying I have changed the boarding station from X to Y, can I revert the same? Answer - No, once the boarding station is changed it can’t be reversed to the original.
  2. Question - Can I change my deboarding station ? Answer - Change of de-boarding station is strictly not allowed. We can simply include this suggestion
  3. Question - I want to change my date of travel? Answer - According to Indian Railway rules, a change of travel date is not allowed. However, with our premium Assured Flex service, you would have had the option to change your travel date.
